Oh dear....these photos reminded me of that classic Eddie Rabbit tune from the 80's and I just couldn't help myself. Now I have the song in my head (on repeat) and I can't stop humming it...hopefully I am no longer alone in this. Please, join in if you know it, sing the song to yourself or your family or your co-workers. I'm sure they'll love you for it...

Since the last time I posted rain on my windows photos I have added to my collection. I actually look forward to rainy days (sometimes) because regardless of where I am I want to find a window to take photos of. These dark ones above are some of my favourites so I ordered prints to put in frames and there's also a fun art project I'd like to try using these photos...but I'll share more on that when my prints come in...

Tuesday flowers...

It has been cold and dreary around here so I picked up a bouquet of really bright flowers the other day to bring some colour and cheer to our place. When I was paying for them at the store the girl behind the counter asked me if I wanted them wrapped and I happily bragged to her that there was no need because the flowers were for me. She seemed surprised which made me wonder if other people buy flowers for themselves. Sure, it's maybe a bit self indulgent to give yourself flowers but what rule book says that flowers must be given or received as a gift?

Either way, whenever there are flowers in the house I can't help but take a photo. I probably have every bouquet of flowers I've ever received (either from myself or someone else) documented in a photograph. With this particular bunch I got crazy with washi tape and fixed the flowers to our windows which yielded the dreamy results above...pretty fun right?

So how about you? Do you buy yourself flowers?

Status update...

Happy monday! I hope your week is off to a great start so far. Mine started this way, with a coffee, a croissant and quiet morning doodling...in case you were wondering. How status-update-like of me!

Kinga Subject just ate a croissant and loved it but is wondering why she's telling the world about it in the third person...

With many of the extra projects I had going on out of the way I have been working on getting back to a regular posting schedule where I will hopefully be showing you less of what I ate for breakfast and more of how designs and prints are progressing for the shop...
